Just got a printer canon 7160bk
Hi all just purchased the canon 7160bk on special. Yes it's up to A4 but for this point on time that's the highest I want to go. Few questions.
What colour mode should I use in ps cc?
And any tips?

Also my prints are coming out soft. The colours are spot on but the image is soft not sharp. I am using kodak gloss in 4x6 and kodak studio gloss a4. I followed their instructions. Even tried sharpening it more in cc. But still soft any help

Hi.
I can not give you a specific answer right off, because I don't know your printer and I have never used Kodak paper.
Are you sending the images to the printer at a resolution of 300ppi . This would save the printer from re-sampling the image, as Canons print at 300 Dpi. Re-sampling, whether in the printer or in an application can make images unsharp. Often you will need to re-sample downwards when you are about to make a small print, and then you should use the dropdown at the very bottom of the re-size dialogue box to choose bicubic sharper as the method. A little bit of sharpening will almost always be needed because well set up digital cameras tend not to use in-camera sharpening, it is best left to the user's judgement.
Very often when Prints seem soft, they actually need to be made more contrasty, and sometimes a little bit darker. They only seem soft because there is no real black anywhere on the print.
The above might not be the answer, but you will get lots of advice on this forum.
