    Christmas Baby

Happy to say I've stuck with my D3100 so far and am pleased with my latest shooting with it. I was having huge issues with image noise and was in the mindset of it being equipment related. After discussion here about it, many pointed out that most likely the issue was technique. So I've spent some time exploring that and frankly quite glad I didn't jump on upgrading then. Just stopping in to share a recent photo. This is my nephew, shot in my home studio. C&C welcomed

    Hi Kyle,
A lovely festive picture of your nephew.
You should be pleased with this shot. On my screen your nephew looks a little overexposed, if other members confirm this when viewing on their screens I would suggest just backing off a bit in PP.
I've tried adjusting it, before posting this message and IMO it does just improve things.
    Hope this helps

    Yep, a bit over exposed.

Nice shot, though, especially for the season.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Merry Christmas.

I notice, Kyle, that you posted this at full size; i.e. 4000+ [pixels on the long edge) and allowed the computer systems ot resize it downwards to 700 pixels. You might want to look into gaining more control of downsizing. It doesn't look to have affected this image particularly, but I always think it's better to be in charge of making sure how I know the final online version is going to look rather than leave it to a hosting site's automatic processes.

Thanks JPS & zen. I'll keep working on exposure more during my future PP as it is somewhere I seem to be struggling at.

Donald I don't typically post full size images but thought C&C would be more accurate when viewing it at that size.
