Damn Jon...were there dates on those boxes.
Chauncy, no dates on the boxes but with a little research comparing box design and details you can get pretty close. According to the details and the design these boxes date between 1910-1924 when they discontinued the Gallery ammo line. The collection that these are part of has some boxes that date back to the 1890s.

OK, I'm just thinking here...why not take an odd number of cartridges out of the box and artfully strew them around the box to show some of the patina of the old copper/brass/lead.
Interesting images. I like the slightly teasing aspect of the images in that you have to look and think a bit to work out the subject.
Is it just my eyes or is the focus just a bit off on the second image? I seem to strain to focus on the words.
The depth needs to be a little deeper on the first as the details on the bullet seems a little fuzzy for my taste
