Introducing myself: joining from Lahoe

Hello,
my name is Lukas Werth. I am an anthropologist and (for what it's worth, that is, self-trained) photographer. I live in Lahore, Pakistan, and in my photography I am broadly interested in interpreting cultural spaces. If you care to have a look into my flickr account

I very much enjoyed looking through your Flickr site. Your street photos and those involving people in various celebrations or events, are excellent. It seems very obvious that your professional discipline does enable and allow you to study people closely and your photographic skills allow you to capture those moments of great interest. Thank you for the welcome, Donald and Greg. I checked into your galleries as well; Donald, it gives me a pleasure to see how you handle soft contrast and midtones in monochrome. Brings a landscape to life for me!
Greg, I admit I was particularly drawn to your animal pictures. The conure reminded me of parrots I once had, but these are just good portraits of an intricate creature. And Tasmanian devil and echidna, whow!!

Look at that sky!

It appears so huge, towering abover the land, on top of that low horizon. Terrifying. Reminds me of some of the landscapes in the art posters that I have previously found here - http://www.posterlounge.co.uk/art-posters/

Thank you for the complement. What I find intriguing is that you picked a picture which has not been liked by many - which, I suppose, is because its subject matter doesn't open itself so easily to the viewer.

On a separate note, you made me log into CIC again after quite a long time.
