Flying Stick insect

Back to my infamous bamboo sun screens. This time a flying stick insect is hiding in the open. She measures @8" long which explains why only the area around the eyes is in decent focus.

I think this is a pretty good image. The bamboo slats give a pleasing perspective, which leads you into the picture, the positioning of the insect in frame is good. Subject is reasonably lit and the focus is pretty good, there aren't many cameras would get the full length of the insect in focus at that distance. I can't make my mind up whether the string on the left hand side should stay in or not. In one respect it is distracting, but on the other hand it gives a vertical line to the image. Nice work, post more of these.

I agree the nylon line adds to the overall effect. As the wee beasties cooperate i shall post them.
