More Black-bellied Whistling Ducks In Flight...

I captured these the same day as my previous post. This visit to the marsh provided many opportunities to photograph these ducks. The marsh was literally crawling with them. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Those are all amazing, but #2 is my favorite by far. As soon as I saw it my jaw dropped. Great capture.

Excellent captures, Joe. They must be very contented birds. They all seem to have a smile on their face

You must have taken these either in the later afternoon or very early in the morning as the sun is coming up...the lighting is very nice, especially on #1. I like #2 the best.

Very nice set, Joe. #2 and #5 are my picks.

#5 is a wonderful image, even with the 3rd bird out of focus (looks like this 3rd one was a bit far from the front ones). The 3 ducks are in an almost perfect synchronism and symmetry! A rare capture (you definitely dont waste any opportunity!). Cheers,

Awesome shots Joe. I like the no 5 most. Thanks for sharing. Joe can you please share the EXIF data? I think it will help all budding bird photographers and me as well.

Hello Isabel, thank you for viewing and commenting. These were taken early morning, I try to be out in the field about an hour after sunrise to about mid morning. Then home to download and begin processing.

Hello Otavio, thank you for viewing and commenting. One of the ducks is in soft focus, always the one farthest away. When capturing them this close I would say impossible to have enough depth of field, so I think the one in soft focus adds depth to the image.

    Hi Joe,

Thank you for sharing... All lovely but the fifth image for me is especially beautiful for the light, composition, detail and colour...

I'm sad to say that it was not the season for Black-bellied whistling ducks in Mexico, not one in sight, so I will just have to take pleasure from viewing your images of these birds
