Caught - Celebrating Monsoon!
The rain had stopped and as I was focussing, a drop from somewhere up fell slowly in to those anther-hands. The stigma, in a tight embrace of that tiny drop, started trembling as if in a deep state of ecstasy! The petals shivered in exhilaration! It all happened in a couple of seconds. I was flabbergasted by the show! The filaments and the anthers are still holding tight that drop of water refusing to let it flow down.
My forefinger was not fast enough to press the video record button.
By the way, I have no intention to attribute any mystic connection to one of the most beautiful actions I have ever watched through my camera's eyepiece.

Just a beautiful story and image - and, in a nutshell, a description of one of the gifts received for the endeavor to be a photographer: seeing more, noticing more.

The great thing about an experience like this Ramachandran, is that anytime you see this, or a similar image, you'll be able to watch that live video replay in your mind's eye.

Very touching feeling you evoke there I your intro...and your shot shows it. You and your shot are both very poetic...
