Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring ! In life too, with pretty strange variations!

Nice images, strangely it is the first I like best even though it is a scene of decay.

It is not a scene of decay. It is a part of the natural cycle. Those snags are a part of life for a lot of species. This is one of the places I find most enjoyable. In the early morning, those snags provide perches for every type of fisheating bird Ospreys, Kingfishers, Eagles, Anhinga and Cormorants. The shallow waters provide feeding places for the egrets and herons.

I very much enjoyed viewing the original (Spring) image. There is so much happening and yet it is so peaceful - it's really a great shot.

I like #1, it's very calming and serene and the colors are subdued.
My only suggestion might be to clone or crop out that small stump on the far right just above the mid-line. And possibly crop out the tree trunk in the bottom foreground (but that small stump I mentioned really distracts me).

I love #4 (summer, although I might title it winter) It's so much like a charcoal sketch, I really like the simplicity of it.
