    Goats in La Pedriza

A few weeks ago I hiked up La Pedriza mountain near Madrid with a couple of photographers to photograph goats. We had a lot of fun stalking them and when they weren't running away from us they were quite photogenic. Below are some photos I took.

    Canon 6D, FL 300mm, 1/1600s, f/8, ISO 320

I wanted to draw attention to the goat running across my path, so I filtered out the blue sky.

When they're above me and feeling safe, they don't mind hanging around for a good look, or simply to pose.

I like this portrait so much I'm thinking of replacing the one of my daughter on my desk at work.

Always curious to look at us.

And finally a view of Madrid from the goats' home.

    Thanks for viewing.

I like them and #1 is my favorite; it is as if they just pose a fight for you to photograph
I think they are wild goats...are they milched?

    Regards

Thanks Nandakumar. They're wild and I believe they're not milch. It was near the end of the mating season so there was less fighting, or so I was told by my friend who virtually lives in the Sierra.

The pose was fortunate and unfortunately I only captured two photos of them fighting. When they saw us they stopped and moved along.

Good thing they aren't pranksters that like to butt people.

    Nice series.

Nice set. I like the portrait too but replacing the daughter's photo may be a bit extreme.
