    Two Decorative Glasses

    The green glass shown below seems to be in the style of an Alsatian wine glass (even though there are no Giant Saguaro cacti in Alsace ).

    The second glass is a margarita glass made of cheap plastic. If you look closely you can see the seam of the mold on both sides of the base. I have been looking forward to photographing the margarita glass for a long time because it reminds me of the glass that is displayed on pages 179 and 180 of Light: Science and Magic (fourth edition) and because I wanted to know if the fundamental photographic properties of plastic are the same as glass. They seem to be at least based on this one piece.

    Yes, indeed. Both!

    I especially adore the 2nd image for the composition, and I'm thoroughly intrigued by the base and its reflection and the light around the base of the glass in the first image.
