These are amazing. There is a local marsh that I got to that has ring neck and wood duck. They all seem to be just a little out of reach with my 300 mm. I just borrowed a 200 mm with a 2x convertor and will get back out there. Do you take these shots from shore or a boat?

Your series is beautifully done...but #2 needs a clone out of those yellow reeds coming out of the water as it is very distracting. Just my honest opinion...

I do like anything associated with waterfowl and those are quite good but not without minor difficulties in some...I might suggest that some of them are a tad overexposed with white areas on birds are without texture.
The milieu is uncontrollable, the windblown water makes for a terrible reflection, compare images #4,5 with #7.
To further nitpick, #2 has a muddy green area below the male's eye...I find this in my images quite often and have no clue what causes the problem.

Hello Steve, thank you for viewing and commenting. These were all taken from shore at a lake in the center of the city of Lakeland, Florida, maybe 50-75 feet from shore. The crop sensor on the D7000 makes the 300mm become 450mm.

Hello Isabel, thank you for viewing and commenting. I agree with you regarding the yellow reeds they are distracting. It is on my list of thing to do when summer here gets hot and inside is air conditioned.

Hello Chauncey, thank you for viewing and commenting. I agree with all your comments, all my images are works in progress until I finally archive them. I find that letting them sit for a while and then opening them up full screen helps with over and under exposures, also color casts. Whatever the first impression looking at them in most times the way to go. Regarding the water and waves... I live for calm wind and water for the wonderful reflections that can be had.
