Hiding in plain sight
I found this relatively typical orb-weavers web in the Hypoluxo Scrub Park in Florida.
Usually, when you find a web like this the spider is somewhere on it. I had to look hard to find this Tropical Orb Weaver – Eriophora ravilla. It is the little olive shaped and colored spot directly above the middle of the web. I tried to get closer to get a better shot but it was shy and quick. Coupled with a light breeze moving the plant and web, this was the best I could do.

I thought your capture is very good! even without the spider, I should say. But you found it. I like the one without though...
