    Plan well...

Which one do you think better, please?

...before you take the boat unto the sea

1st one ... because of nice color contrast between the elements.

First one, figure gets lost in the monochrome treatment.

    Re: Plan well...

I would say #1 also as they are now. But, I might try adding contrast and darkening a bit on both monotones. The subject matter fits in a monotone image, but both the b+w and sepia are too bright for monotone view. Try darkening both and see what you get.

    Thanks for sharing.

    1 & 3
I like #1 for the bright colors
I like #3 because it has a timeless look.
Have you considered cropping a bit off the bottom, less sand, more boat and sky?

    Re: Plan well...

For me Nandakumar, I miss the sea in the 2nd and 3rd - because the toning has made them come out the same brightness.

Therefore I prefer the colour shot, #1.

True but, that problem could have been overcome by making selections of the boats and PP them differently than the background.

#1, very lovely. But I also like the 3rd version which I think would also be very lovely with a little bit of cropped off of the bottom.

    Re: Plan well...

Nandakumar - I think you would have a far stronger image if you cropped out the man and concentrated on the two boats. The colours in shot 1 are very nice; but there is too much beach and sky in the image.

I think getting closer would end up producing a stronger image.

    Re: Plan well...

I like the first one as well (but then for me, monochrome reminds me of B&W TV from the 60's).

I'm not sure the figure goes with the scene as he isn't looking at either the sea or the boats but rather takes my attention towards something out of the frame. If he were looking the other way, my eye would be directed back to the boats rather than out of the image.

There are also two boats in the water that are noticeable, that are attention getting, but too small to be explored.

    I hope this helps!

Nandakumar, those boats are gonna be there tomorrow and probably all the time...return and reshoot...work the scene, perspectives, the light, and whatnot. Then, when you get it, you will know it.

1 and 3 for me too but I'm with Zen , I think 2 would improve quite a bit with some darkening
    Tough choice though Nandakumar.
