Trespassers Checklist: Related to thread below...
Reading Lance Keimeg's "Night Photography: finding your way in the dark" and the author included a checklist for trespassing on private property. (Reimer, p. 47)
1. Permission is better than sneaking in.
2. Always carry samples of your work.
3. Be friendly and open with property owners and authorities.
4. Have insurance.
5. Avoid other trespassers.
6. Understand the ramifications of trespassing based on the type of location.
And in another section of the text, he recounts how photographer Paul Martin (A Wet Night at the Embankment, ca 1895-1896), who would photograph low light scenes using 5 to 10 minute exposures, would often find himself followed by a policeman (Reimer, p. 6-7).
