Looks like an old print, but needs a little grain and tone down the highlights.
Looks like something Sharon is working on.
As Sharon says she is my mews, :-), and she has helped me to push away from the snapshot recording photo I'm use to. This isn't an imitation of her style, but a shot I would previously discard being made into something by the use of layers and blending modes, which I wouldn't have dared to try before.
Every day's an education for me, including my spelling, and I agree sharing ideas is so important. Too many people seem to be bound up with trying to grab everything for themselves so its good to find a generous soul
Well, I thank Sharon for persuading you to post this photo, David. The moment you have captured in the woman's stride reveals a certain jauntiness which, when read with the hat she is wearing, suggests the 1940s to me (or some time about then). Who was it who said, a fuzzy or photo of a great subject is better than a sharp photo of a boring subject (or words to that affect). Anyway, well done and keep them coming.
Funny thing is, when I first saw the photo I thought of Sharon. Interestingly not just because of the 'style' but of the subject itself. My first impression was that it was shot of Herself. I think David is lucky to have such a "critic" in his corner.
