    Upgrade for Christmas

This year I went in for an equipment upgrade, replacing my EOS 30D with a 70D. This requires a considerable learning curve. One thing I didn't count on was that the new RAW files were incompatible with my elderly version of Photoshop Elements. After some thought I subscribed to adobe CC, witch had a deal on Lightroom and Photoshop, More learning....
I would be interested in comparing notes with any other 70D users.

    Re: Upgrade for Christmas

David being a Nikon user I had to go to DPReview to do a comparison. I am surprised you even notice a difference..... (the sensor size has not changed at all)

When I upgraded my camera last year I was delighted with the improvement particularly regarding Hi ISO performance and dynamic range. I am sure you will be finding the same. Unfortunately being forced to upgrade software and hard drive storage seems to be an inevitable consequence. Enjoy the new camera and exploring the extended possibilities it will bring to your photography.
