Took this the other night - appreciate any C&C.

Also, is there a way to have Smugmug hosted photo appear in this forum, or is it only possible to post the link. I read something about it when I joined, but can't find it now. Thanks.

Yeppers, when you're in Smugmug, click on your photo, then click "Share". That takes you to a separate page where you can choose exactly how you'd like to share it. Choose 'Get a Link', then select the tab 'Embeddable Links'. Once there, the bottom three options are for forums such as this. Select the size you want (Large is best), copy the link by pressing the button that says 'Copy', then paste it in your post wherever you like.

    Hope that helps!

Nice image, was your intended subject the neon lights only?

Thanks John - and yes I was after the neon lights. Everything else was pulled out in pp.

I'm brand new to this low light/night photography stuff, but am determined to learn so any criticism/suggestion is welcome.

    Brian,

Knowing what your intentions were for this shot, nothing to critique. Have you considered doing this type of shot a bit early and maintaining more blue in the sky?

Hadn't thought of that - but I definitely will give it a go. This was hand held so I wouldn't mind trying a longer exposure on a tripod.
