    Pilanesburg game reserve

Over the festive period I was taken for my first game drive through the Pilanesburg national park north of Johannesburg, had a fantastic time. These few examples were taken with my Nikon D3s with a Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. Neil

Yes, #2 for me as well!

You apparently had excellent game viewing with lots of animals. I see in the background of the last one an unidentifiable animal on the left and an elephant on the right.

The second photo was a particularily interesting scene, the elephant was in close vicinity to the rhinos that you can see in image three, apparently he could smell there presence likewise they were aware of him and it was like watching a game of chess.First the rhinos would move forward then the elephant and then the rhinos would move backwards a bit in reponse.

Really nice captures. Your proximity to this type of shooting makes me envious. I'd love to shoot in Africa but, just don't want to do the traveling or to incur the cost for the trip.
