Muslim women , as far as I know, also like jewelries, especially if they are concubines. Jewelries are their security. I don't need it. I am secured enough. The only jewelry I wear is my wedding ring. Anyway, no I am already a grandma, but an absentee one. I am going home to visit my home and my children in Oz pretty soon and I promised I will stay with my DIL more so I can have my one and only grandchild siddle up to me and hear her say " I love you, Nana..." I am teaching her sign language and she finds that very unique because no one has ever taught her that and then she passes on that knowledge to her peers at school. She just turns 3 (officially, at last!!!) but reads Grade 5 books. So that will be a fun visit. I will post some photos when we attend Grandparents Day at her school.

In the Caribbean we have a similar drink made from the dried petals of the Sorrel flower. It makes a similar but redder drink which is very refreshing. My rwference to "beforeand after" was just an attemot at being funny as i live in a grape and wine region of Canada. I hioe you were not offended. FYI my name is Joseph and most people call me Joe.

Indian Muslim ladies also use ornaments; but here in India, no more concubine system; further even among Muslims polygamy is quite rare. Among Hindus and Christians, polygamy is illegal and punishable. In remote villages, especially in North India, such things are still occurring.

..and wishing you happy days with your little grand child, your DiL and son. Upon which date GPDay falls?

    Regards

We human beings alone make fashion statements and suffer from fashion sentiments...

Perhaps there are others as well. At least according to National Geographic there are animals that seem to decorate themselves to attract mates.

Brian, they are mostly to camouflage from enemies or out of a natural instinct to attract their sex partner. We human beings are fashionable, just to attract sex partner?

Good to know...just like being a citizen in one country that even allowed dual citizenships, one can only be loyal to one country, not both.

I have no idea. When my son was around Anika's age, I think Melbourne has the same month around March, though I googled it and got nowhere further than New South Wales and Queensland who celebrated theirs somewhere around October. Maybe it is different in other states. I am just glad for Bill because he has not been in any of Anika's event. This is his first and we will only have time to go home, take a shower and rush to Anika's school for the event on the same day that we arrive in Melbourne. Thank you for asking.

    Re: Mindscapes...

I used to do this to my rottweiler too...when I had that urge to take a photo of him. I will put sunglasses, a devil's headband, anything, we have no problem as long as I say "pretty...pretty..." he's all for it as long as he does not wear it all day...just long enough to take a shot at him. I exchanged photoshoot with him for "Let's go to school!" which he loves so much because he knows he is good at it.

Very cool shot by the way...

Thank you very much Izzie; I am referring to orphans and kids being kidnapped and used for begging by mafia groups etc

And I was thinking of parents who kill their kids because they are high on drugs. I mute the local news on tv whenever I hear those kinds of stories. I just wait for the weather.
