Thank you very much Izzie; this brought the memories of an Indian village in Maharashtra, where houses don't have locks, so also for their money boxes.... It is their faith that their local deity would protect them and their possessions....

What a lovely story about the Indian Village. Amazing that it can still be like that and attract so many tourists. Forty years ago we lived without locking doors but not now.
That is a very nice story...Having lived in a society like I have experienced so far, I can feel the hesitation of people who had not experienced such an experience in their lives. I have, but I was so young to even understand why we did not have to lock our doors at night before...but I remember having a door put on later on when I was about nearly 7. Then my grandmother, who took care of me, died and we have to move to the city where doors are securely locked each night for security as we were told. Rampant crimes all told made us scared for our lives each day. And I carried that feeling living here in the US.
Nice to know that there are still place like that in the world...must be the only place in world that exists like that. Thank you for the link, Nandakumar...
Very nice Nandakumar, I like the way you have p/p'd this one
