we have had a Deer overpopulation problem from time to time here. It depends on the mountain lion population.
If there are too many it throws things out of balance that lead to all sorts of heath risks human and animal.

That is a philosophical statement. Let me just say that it is a different need for me because I cannot fit a whole unbutchered bambi in my freezer...I am not a vegetarian by any means...many carrots had already died because of them kind of people. Everything we see is a living being, even a blade of grass. Being vegetarian or a meat eating person is a choice too.

I am an lacto-ovo vegetarian and not a vegan...no body is 100% harmless...even seeds are lives in the becoming....My only feeling is that those birds and animals sheltered for meet etc. must be given maximum refined conditions of living as long as they stay, slaughtered imparting no or least pain; one animal should never happen to see another one getting slaughtered..... My own country has to go much much in this direction.....Civilization is not just about how people behave among themselves, but also how they treat other living beings.....
