Nicely conceived, first impressions steered me towards crime scene.

When we see someone known to us, the first thing that comes to our mind is the worst thing we know about that person....(whether we like it that way or not)

    Regards
Nice concept pictorially but I'm not sure that I agree with the sentiment. Depends on who I am seeing.

Interesting thought and it works for me Nandakumar. Lost a bit of texture in the white area of the coconut (?). Was that deliberate?

    Thank you very much, John

Thank you very much, John 2. When we see someone dear to me our mind masks all the negative aspects of that person and we see only the positive aspects; for the rest of people no such protection will be available and our mind- in most cases- will think the other way....Of course, refined people can see always the good side of others; such people are on the higher levels of spiritual evolution

In the other image what you had mistaken to be coconut is a broken glass piece; since you mistook it, I had edited it to look more like what it really is

    Regards

    Woman is the wealth....

    Mindscapes...

PS: The tension behind the image is probably unknown to the western World. In India dowry system is prevalent in all strata of society, among followers of all religions, in spite of the fact that it is legally banned throughout the country...The real victims of this evil are the parents daughters of very poor families. They have to struggle beyond their capacities to get their daughters married....

    Regards

Sure does. 'Even for Timon and Pumba, speaking of which I was watching Andrew Zimmern night before I left for Oz and saw one of the food fares for the table are bugs -- roasted dried while still moving then eaten. Yikes!

Very good illustration. I have heard a lot about dowry but not seen/known in reality. It must be hard for the girl too.

    Hi Nandakumar,

Somewhat familiar with the concept, I believe that It can be considered an insult if the dowry isn't large enough. Nicely conceived and captured.

Thank you very much, Bruce, Izzie, John and Joe.

Izzie, there is much scope in low-level photography when it comes to tabletop subjects; in the other image the lady is my sister in law

John, yes if dowry has turned out to be measure of status, a shame of things

    Jeo, thank you once again

Nicely done, I'm sure your model is happy with the portraits but most especially the one with the kitten.

So true...When the movement is presented as ballet-like, then it resembles a dream sequence like in movies...enticing, soft, mesmerizingly dramatic and beautiful.
