Nice composition and capture Nandakumar but the white balance seem to favour yellow . Is that deliberate?

Thank you very much, John; i must admit, my adjustments brought that yellow
I do different adjustments and when i feel OK, i stop. So some bad elements become par of the image....

Equipments are extensions of human senses to compensate their limitations...

    Mindscapes...

PS: I used a household magnification lens in contact with the inbuilt lens of Nikon p900, to capture this image. Even though it lacks professional macro quality, for the time being i am happy with the results it gave

Again this is a super close up of a growing pine apple from the top; colors , including the blue are real

730, nicely captured. Does the P900 have a macro mode, did you use this along with the magnifying glass? I'm sure the best you can do with a macro mode is closeup photography anyway.

John, thank you very much; It does not have macro mode; i am using its close up mode only. In addition to Nikon P900, I am using canon 70 D. But now a days i rarely use canon 70 D

    Nandakumar,

I have the P90 and it has what is labeled a macro mode and also a separate focusing mode which is also labeled macro (or the flower symbol). Interestingly the camera still autofocuses when very close to the subject, problem is the P90 also produces a lot of noise; but it is still a fun camera. I wonder if your model still achieves focus when very close to the subject.

Thank you very much, John; yes the close up mode gives reasonably good images; in my regular journies i prefer to carry this Nikon because it offers a good focal range

730, 731 and 732 -- You got some interesting shots with the pineapple there. Is it really a pineapple? Or a pine apple is different? I am curious about the blue hence I don' know the difference...the pineapple that I know has green thingie on top of it not blue. Maybe yours over there is different? I like 731 very much from the 3 shots. It looks crispy and fresher.

Thank you very much, izzie; i too wonder about the violet; the parent plant was the top shoot of a pine apple we purchased locally, nothing was special about it; probably this may fade and change color when it grows more; let's wait and see

it is a pineapple. The blossoms are purple. and as each little segment is a separate fruit there will be lots of purple blossoms.
