Very true, Nandy...but I do not see the connection of the nearly fading rose to your quote...

This is true too...but I rather prefer "Like sands in the hourglass..." followed by the Theme Song of Days of Our Lives... LOL Do you have Days of Our Lives there in India too?

Thank you very much, Izzie; about that rose, i said it because that rose is very very common here, but not sure whether it is common elsewhere....(it has least to do with its nearly falling status)

...and sadly i haven't heard that song you mentioned, nor i think it is popular here

not really. There has always been life and death struggles, corruption, disease, and territorial claims. It was nature that wiped out the dinosaurs. Men and women have merely taken it to a new and truly horrific level. But I like the picture

When I was young-er, I happened to watch Days of Our Lives. It went on for a week? then I got sick of it. Then I read someone saying that it is a drama that many people who do not have better things to do watch at lunchtime. It became a joke at work too. But the music is familiar to everyone...as far as drama is concerned, the music is it.

Roses are popular everywhere I had lived. The first rose that I grew was a Mr. Lincoln -- fragrance, dark red, beautiful in my eyes on the second day it comes out. I have propagate a lot of roses mainly because I know I can do it. Different colours, different varieties. I love them all -- from white to ivory to brown to almost black. I have planted a Mr. Lincoln here too. It is a special rose to me so Bill bought me one to plant.

I will respond to these later. I just lost my long response to you. I have no idea where it went. Sometimes ignorance is bliss but there are times, ignorance is a nuisance.

For this one I'd change the wording just a tiny bit and say "....and then came 'some' men" since not all are prone to destruction.

This is a beautiful picture! I really like the way you've captured the reflections and the excitement of the water! And thankfully, we do have "rocks" that protect us from time to time!

Re Scape 988. I agree. I am sure that from time to time, things were not Pristine, but, over time nature returned to it's Pristine state. But in the last 50or 60 years we have added 8 billion tons of plastics, which are not degradable, to the environment.

Yes...true-- and we must enjoy the ride too not just the preview of it. On the other hand, I like this shot. I have been meaning to take a shot of that kind of plant which is actually a weed here that I like. It has the same habit of standing up to reach another plant it can strangle.

Yes...even by thought. That is why when someone patented an idea, some would say or think "I have thought of that too..." or a prayer/wish comes easily to fruition if many prays for the same thing. We are part of THE WHOLE if you know what I mean...And I like the way you did this illustration to demonstrate your quote.

Yep! Alaska it is during summer -- they do not have nightime during summer and the flowers there are very vivid in colour because of the continuous sunshine. I know this is not you mean but I like to mention it anyway.

The most beautiful and most constructive part of nature are the little water engineers. Here they are called beavers. They build bridges, tunnels, dams, etc. to help prevent floods, protect their habitats from the ravages of "nature" itself. So in a way, nature can also do damages. Men were created for a purpose too and has to live, but there are some humans who were no better than just savages and never care. Nice shots here, Nandy.

OK...these thoughts took care of what message I lost yesterday...thanks for sharing and inviting me to think and communicate my feelings.
