My eyes were drawn to it, and this detail, along with the splashing water obscuring the face of the kayaker, for me, makes this photo much better than if both hands were gripping the paddle or if the face was visible. The quote is also so true and appropriate for the image.

#1007 - I like the insect crawling on the plant's stamens. The stamens remind my of partially bent fingers, which I like. The quote is very true, with the insect helping to spread the "life" of the plant to other plants via the pollen it will transport to-and- from all of the other plants is visits.

#1012 - I'm not certain, but I think the photo is of two kayaks colliding with one another. The quote is true, but if my assumption about the two kayaks colliding is correct, perhaps "Life has many avenues to venture into for more adventures...and misadventures." might be even more appropriate.
