Especially in the hour of crisis...sometimes miracles exists, hence the hopefulness, but it's time, hope can just be a word. A disappointment to some a relief to the other.Scape.1022
Hope is like a thread that supports life to hang on to even at the hour of crisis....
Yes...I agree wholeheartedly in this except bad wishes.Scape.1023
Let every wish be a prayer...
In these two I like the colours and the compositions. Lovely shot and processing.
On our wedding anniversary this month, Bill and I decided to go to a historical tour in Washington, D.C. and of course I do not have to just read the details from the internet to learn about it and how to photograph and where, but we will be there, so it will be exactly as you relate here -- a willingness to learn experience. I have been there before but I wasn't a citizen then but just one of the million tourists, so what do I know? Now I am really beginning to understand this country and visiting places here as we planned this year and taking photographs.
I still do not know why I am reluctant to process my images of Jefferson Barracks cemetery when we went there to attend a military funeral of Bill's friend's son. I was the only photographer present. Perhaps it was too personal for the parents and the family of the deceased? I don't know...I have to dig inside me for answers about this. It was a solemnly beautiful ceremony, btw.

A great series of rafting images, I'm sure you've posted as a series somewhere; if not you should.
1023, nicely captured and should make the wisher think twice before quoting.
1024, nicely captured, something should be learned or else why bother traveling.
The boat is very subtle in this photo. If that was intended then mission accomplished. In keeping with the theme of the journey, it may have been a bit more prominent if the boat was located in the frame consistent with the rule of thirds(i.e.intersection of the lower and right thirds lines).
