By coincidence, there are herbetia lahue flowers on our street that do indeed only last one day:

Purple Spring Flower - 3 petals plus bug

Are they found also in Bharat?

I think, i have not seen such one so far; i think it is a tiny flower; so not sure whether i missed to observe it?.... Further India being too large i don't dare declare its absence here; thank you very much Ted, for sharing the image and commenting

I spelled it wrong, so I looked it up ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbertia_(plant) is not native to India. It's quite big - about 15-20mm wide ...
