My husband's love affair with airplanes started when he was 6 years of age. It was during the first time a corner store owner bought a plane similar to this one. He saw pride in his neighbour's eyes as he described the airplane and vowed one day that he too, will one day own one exactly like it. It was also then that he decided he wanted to be a pilot, a damn good one! His determination led him to achieved his dreams plogging through school and college with one eye opened to opportunities that might open up for him, working days, going to school at night to finish his education. He acquired this airplane, a 1946 Swift bird in the late 70's while working at the time as a first officer for TWA...Please feel free to criticize and/or comment...
Retired as a captain, this is now one of his pride and joy...
