    Fascinating photos of frozen lighthouses

I just saw this article/photos on frozen lighthouses in Michigan and thought some of you might enjoy.

We should thank the photographer for freezing his butt off in capturing these great images.

I can just imagine how lonely it must have been in the days of lighthouse keepers, living in these structures in the days before automation, pretty well trapped in the lighthouse. Winter storms on the Great Lakes provided us scuba divers with some lovely dive sites, in spite of the efforts of the lighthouse keepers.

Those are very nice texture. Nature has a way of showing us beauty we can only capture as we can...to the best of our ability.

He must've been out in some very cold weather but it sounds like it's a rewarding experience for him apart from the result so all the better.

True, it must have been something else. Especially not having the weather forecast to prepare you for how long and bad a storm was going to be

Very nice. Reminds me of images of Mount Washington Observatory.
