this guy is big! about twice the size of a Bald Eagle, it was a chilly day so he was all “ruffled-up”
the sunlight just hit the back of his head bringing out a lovely golden brown

Nice capture Mark. The background tells me that this one is likely caged but what is the black and silver object in the lower left?

yes caged of sort of he was outside on a long leash, just jumped up on a tree stump, the silver is his ring on foot, good spot i was gonna ps that out.

Shooting in portrait mode and moving a tad to your left, shooting more to the right, would have left you with a bit of a better background.
