    Dead Flowers with Texture Overlay

Last month I went to the local arboretum and noticed some dead flowers that looked interesting. (FWIW, I did focus stacking to keep the background blurred and the flowers sharp.) Today, I decided to add a texture overlay to see whether I could improve the image, and now it looks more artistic.

Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

Works for me Ken. I haven't seen the original but I'm fairly sure the textured background adds considerable interest.

I think this is a beautiful image... and that it is an image of dead flowers and somehow beautiful. I like the texture as it looks like soft rain.
