Since my dood had her belly shaved for surgery, going out in the cold weather (6 degree F) means she has to wear a couple of tee shirts. She doesn't seem all that thrilled.

She's remarkably tolerant. I think it's the golden retriever side that she gets that pathetic look from. Actually she's a happy puppy.

Given that she's not the least bit discerning about what she'll eat (or what goes into her mouth) I don't think sartorial splendor rates high on her list.

She's already had the surgery, they went in looking for a bowl obstruction. Nothing was found (3 x-rays and 2 ultrasounds and they still weren't sure). She's all better, but since her belly was shaved the tee shirts offer a bit of protection from the cold.

Sorry your girl needed surgery! Doodles, especially young ones, are known for ingesting just about anything that is not nailed down.

As a young dog, my goldendoodle would pull up clumps of grass from the lawn and eat the clump, earth and all. This usually resulted in a sick doodle with loose stool.

Luckily, at six years old, she has grown out of that habit. However, she has recently started to counter surf. That started at about five and a half years old. However, we have learned to be careful about what and where we leave things on the counter!

Oh OK...did the doctor prescribed putting pumpkin with her diet? Or green beans? Or olive oil? My two dogs are on olive oil (a tsp) and green beans. My Siamese cat is on pumpkin after a lot of x-rays and "consultations" from he vet that cost us upward $300 per visit. Then her vet found out she's got thyroid. She is fine now...coconut oil did it out for her.

Isabel,
Bland diet for a couple of weeks, with occasional chicken and rice, plus a supplement to boost her immune system. Her immune system took a major hit which then exposed her to other sicknesses. Bright side is she's back up and running, healthy, back on her regular food and a pest. I wouldn't have it any other way.

My dog does the same thing with grass, she gets out onto a lawn and it looks like a deranged gopher was let loose.
