    Shadows in Dark - Cenotaph

Hi, going forward on my photography venture I stopped and clicked another shot. Can you please review it and let me know what exactly is missing for it to make it much better?

It is an image of safdarjang tomb cenotoph, new delhi. I have carved the light source By sitting between the door. The middle shadow is me sitting trying to carve n give a shape for a leading element to the cenotoph.

With post processing i used split toning using warm tone in highlights n cold with shadows. Though a subtle toning. It is my first Attempt with split toning.

    Thank you

Very nice in all respects and especially creative.

I wouldn't know whether I would want the shadow area on the sides lifted a bit until I could see what they look like. I like the mysterious nature of those shadow areas, especially in the context of the subject and perspective, so it's not that I have a need to see more detail in those areas.

Opening up the shadows destroys the whole point of the image and makes it a very 'average' thing.

I imagine something about halfway between the two versions would make almost everyone happy.

Well done, Raj, on the original and subsequent images. Really like the split toning and the mood you've created with this image.

Truly stunning and unique. I prefer the 1st (original) but the last version is also beautiful.

The last one is very, very nice and I would be very happy to hang it on my wall. Even so, I still prefer the first one because of the very different mood.
