    Downloading ExIF data with image

I find it very helpful when I can see the ExIF data - adds to my learning.

I use FxIF on Firefox to see it and don't find the data in most images posted here (but do on some, as is the case with Mike Buckley's recent nice Iceland series). I assume some folks want to keep this to themselves..

Yet I cannot get it into my images... I export my images from LR5 as JPEGs prior to posting and have the option checked in the export menu metadata panel (I have "all metadata") selected.
But I do not find the data in the JPEGS on my desktop or after I've posted them here.

Any suggestions as to how I might fulfill the golden rule and get EXIF into images I download and post?

I questioned this too. I found that the images I uploaded to CIC had the ExIF stripped for the site. The same image saved in my WordPress blog contains the exif.

So it doesn't appear that it is your action that is stripping the data.

I don't necessarily want to keep EXIF data a secret, but I usually use Photoshop and the functionality "Save for web" for any in line forum posts.

"Save for web" function in Photoshop as well as optimizing for web, strips the EXIF data.

If it is relevant I usually post the exposure specs and the camera and lens models and any other relevant data below the image.

BTW don't take the EXIF data as necessarily the truth.
