    Snow and Ice

Life has interfered, and I've not had much time for photography of late. Did get out in the snow and cold a few times and shot a few. Any thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Edits always welcome. Thanks for viewing.

Great set Kevin, but having the human element in #6 makes that one really stand out for me.

For me, #3 and #6 are terrific but #5 is at an even higher level. If you send out holiday cards, that photo would be perfect for them.

A great set, Kev, but I love 5 & 6. The human element gives it a sense of scale, too.

    Kevin,
    For me it's #'s 3&5
#3 is great in B&W and I think a great choice, #5 is awesome and really defines winter's grip. I would, of course, be interested in seeing #5 in B&W if you hadn't already considered it.

That is a beautiful picture. For me, the composition is great and the subtlety of colour and tone is just gorgeous. Love it.

By the way, #5 would also make a gorgeous black-and-white image.

Thanks, all, very much. Still working on a B&W of #5, just haven't been entirely happy with it, and my wife told me it's "a little boring". She has a pretty good photographic eye so I'm taking it seriously .

Nice series...I would have like #4 without that driftwood in front of it and #5 is just brilliant. (I'm late to this party again!)

Your wife is wrong. But I strongly recommend that you not tell her that.

Thanks, Isabel. When and what to include as foreground elements is an area I'm presently exploring (struggling with). Another 10,000 shots or so and I may have a feel for it.

Oops, I may have misrepresented. It was actually she who picked out the shot as one to spend some time with. It was only my initial conversion she was less than thrilled with. And, as you recommend, "wrong" is not in my marital lexicon.

For what its worth - landscape challenged BB says 5, 2, and 6. Though I would have been happy getting any of the others.

Agree with everyone else, great series!
I believe you posted lovely summer photos of this same place, so it's nice to see it again in winter.
