Lovely texture and nuance in the feathers!
You know that this sort of photo is not a style that I know enough about to critique, so I have to ask if it's worth considering cloning to remove the branches in the top of the frame that are out of focus.
That is some sweet light, Terri. Beautiful glassy water.
Beautiful shot.
One thing about reflections. Normally I will take a couple of shots. Then I will just follow the target with the camera until the reflection mirrors it exactly.
I am with you, Bobo...the horizontal thing at the neck bothers me most than the blurred branches at the top, sorry Mike...
Right on, it's beautiful light! And its inspirational of you to share the energy you took to get out there in be in it. i didn't notice it initially, but that extra beak in the reflection and the halo too become part of what you look at - I suppose they make it less perfect - but wildlife, you know... what it is.
Great shot Terri,well captured!
thanks for the tip, Bobo. I went back and checked all my shots to see if there was a clear reflection and there was not. These geese were moving away from me pretty quickly after this initial shot. There may be a few that have a less offensive reflection, but not a clear one.
Thanks Dan, Isabel, Mark and David for your comments too. All are much appreciated!
