which 300mm lens
ok sorry to flog a dead horse here lol, but just to make sure i get the best one
its for my nikon d5100, i already have 18-55 macro, 18-105 so was thinking this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2513895358...84.m1423.l2649
or the 70mm-300?
i decided that with all the lenses and filters i already have to keep the 5100, rather than to start from scratch again with the 7000
thanks guys
last time i ask promise.....

Re: which 300mm lens
I would go with the 70-300mm VR. I think it is a better lens overall than the 55-300mm. It gives you enough overlap (70-105) with your 18-105mm that you won't feel you need to swap lenses so often.

Re: which 300mm lens
I cannot speak to the lens you link to but I can certainly recommend the Nikon 70-300 VR. It may be that for you the fact that it is not a crop sensor lens might seem a demerit. I have used it on both full-frame and crop-sensor bodies and it is fine on either. It's a good, middle-of-the-road lens with a metal mount. It's fairly robust but still relatively light to carry on long walks. In image quality it punches well above its weight.
