It works, but just a thought.
Would it be possible to trim the wicks slightly so the flames were graduated in size and became longer on the shorter candles?
Or to put it another way, the longest flame on the shortest candle; which would be on the left and gradually becoming shorter towards the shortest flame on the tallest candle, as it is now.
Does that make any sense?
Makes a lot of sense - OTOH - if I look closely, from left to right, the flames seem to increase slightly. To save myself some work, I can just try to increase the size of the most right one. Bigger candle-bigger flame.
I'll try both ways and see what comes up.
Honestly, I never considered this a candidate for serious PP. It was just an opportunity and I grabbed it.
or go mad with the clone tool?
This works well, Kris, but would it be better without the lighter strip down the right hand side?
Philip
Nice tonal range. Well done Kris!
When you have dinner by candlelight, does it mean real candlelight while having dinner? No other lights to see what you are eating? I've always envy those people who can see what they are eating when they said they dined 'by candlelight'...
Anyway, I like the mood of the candles...beautiful red but the flame are not even...
Since the power was out, it was indeed real candle light. (And one kerosene lamp.) Oh, and since our stove is electric, we ordered take-out pizza. I can eat pizza in the dark if I have to.
After dinner, we turned on the generator to keep the refrigerator going, keep phones and tablets charged and have one light on.
I think you really achieved something from an adverse situation; i really liked the image
It does rather break the romantic atmosphere of a meal by candlelight though.
''I would really like to remember this moment by taking a photograph of the candles!''
