Nice colors there...you could have stood in between those two electric posts, avoiding the nearer post in the image; the other street lamp can add to the value of the image, especially if you could merge the lamp with the glowing Sun; but for that you may require a bit elevated platform; over all i liked it, especially for its colors

You could try reducing the dark area by around half. But that would mean using a different size ratio.
The dark bottom is visible so that helps alot, unless there is something interesting to see I'd say don't let it compete with the sunset and go a bit darker.

Frank, I had played with the brightness. When I lightened the dark areas, the colours came out wishy-washy and there was not the same impact. I wanted the streets and houses to be just visible though because they are representative of Brisbane architecture 60 years ago.
Nandakumar, I still have to learn to think more before I click. I might have been able to improve things with respect to the close power pole. I like the way the sun is framed by the far power pole and light bracket though.
