    Streetscape at sunset

Please help with the processing here. I quite like the dark bottom half but perhaps it is too dark. What do you think?

I think it depends on what you want to convey to the viewer Tony.

Ask yourself (or play with the settings to see) what will the impact be if the streetscape were lighter and as a result, more easily viewable? Will that improve the image in the direction you want it to go?

Nice colors there...you could have stood in between those two electric posts, avoiding the nearer post in the image; the other street lamp can add to the value of the image, especially if you could merge the lamp with the glowing Sun; but for that you may require a bit elevated platform; over all i liked it, especially for its colors

    Regards

You could try reducing the dark area by around half. But that would mean using a different size ratio.

The dark bottom is visible so that helps alot, unless there is something interesting to see I'd say don't let it compete with the sunset and go a bit darker.

    Thanks for all the comments.

Frank, I had played with the brightness. When I lightened the dark areas, the colours came out wishy-washy and there was not the same impact. I wanted the streets and houses to be just visible though because they are representative of Brisbane architecture 60 years ago.

Nandakumar, I still have to learn to think more before I click. I might have been able to improve things with respect to the close power pole. I like the way the sun is framed by the far power pole and light bracket though.

Neat Tony, understanding the background and what you are trying to achieve really helps. I'd say you've achieved your goals!
