Re: Bobcat...a nice little kitty
Very impressive captures of a beautiful animal! I am amazed that he stayed around for so long. I have hunted most of my life in Louisiana and Mississippi caught a glimpse of one in the woods as he ran from the area, must have caught him sleeping, and saw an old one along side of a road once. No proof of either sighting.

Wonderful opportunity and you took full advantage of it!
Have you ever seen a Florida panther, which is far more rare and I think is officially listed as an endangered species?

Beautiful! You can certainly see where the domestic Tabby comes from.

Re: Bobcat...a nice little kitty
All are terrific, particularly #2 & #4 I would choose one for a large print & hang proudly! Although if I did decide to print, I would take the time to clone out (or remove somehow) the horizontal growing grass/twigs behind the kitty, as I feel they distract just a teensy bit from something wonderful, I do apologise if I am the only one who thinks this way though!

Re: Bobcat...a nice little kitty
Excellent set Joe, outstanding even. I think I know why you weren't seeing the expected birds! About how big do you think this Bobcat was?

wow Joe cant believe how good these are. ( but I do believe it). I see a bobcat about once every 3 years or so. A little envious over here.

Re: Bobcat...a nice little kitty
That's a willy pwetty pudy cat.
Cool stuff, Joe. Amazing how elusive they normally are and then one day, bang, just sitting there like it could care less about being out in broad daylight. If we ever get to a point of not being excited by this type of encounter, it will be time to take up something other than wildlife photography...

Re: Bobcat...a nice little kitty
Hi Joe,
Thank you for sharing. When you have time I wonder if you could explain the post processing on just one image, say the 1st one of the 2nd series. The difference is so subtle but definitely has more impact, including your reasoning for the chosen crop. ie; I'm trying to improve my post processing skills and think an analysis might help me see things better.
Thank you.
PS Congratulations on the December monthly! Gorgeous image!
