coyote
I watched a pair of coyotes hunt a field this morning. They kept about 150 yards away so this is cropped pretty hard.

Re: coyote
Great capture, James, you got him right between the eyes. Its gaze holds the viewer's gaze incredibly well -- I can't look away.

Re: coyote
Thank you Frank I shot that with my 400, but I will include 1 shot with my 200 where I tried to capture both coyotes. Its sooc and not really a good pic but it gives an idea of the distance that the 400 is covering.

Re: coyote
Well done, James! The blood on the muzzle from a recent feed lends seriousness to his stare.

Re: coyote
Great look on his face. Definitely has the look of a hunter. A bit more light on the face in PP might be nice.

Re: coyote
wow thanks everybody. The coyotes stayed about a 9 iron or an 8 iron away from me (to put it in golf terms). Other than that they acted like I wasn't there. Which is strange for coyotes they usually are leaving when I see them.

Excellent shot. Hard to tell it was not from a closer range.

Re: coyote
I am glad it wasn't hunting me... but then I could've got some good close ups. Maybe I will look into a ground hog suit.
