Re: Ardfern Lanscape
I like the simplicity and the conversion, but, IMHO...it would be better without the foreground.
Perhaps taken from the shore of the lake in the same conditions.

Re: Ardfern Lanscape
I like the shore as a base for the photo but feel it is is a bit on the heavy side, too much, but not sure where one would crop with the sheep. Whatever it has a lovely feeling to it. I like the reduced size border which seems to go with the tones of the image [ to hell with flickr this is CiC ]

Re: Ardfern Lanscape
Beautiful! I adore the composition, and all the light and shadow, mist, and detail seen in the clouds and mountains, and the glimpse of wildlife in the foreground.

Re: Ardfern Lanscape
It works well for me. The foreground information is essential in my mind. However, I would "trim" the tree on the far right so that it doesn't extend above the top of the hill behind it.

Re: Ardfern Lanscape
I might think of this:
1. Crop out some of the sky resulting in a wider aspect ratio...
2. Darken the sky
3. Lighten the foreground a bit
