Thank you Bobo. I try to make up for my lack of pp skills like noise reduction by shooting lower iso whenever I can. My 50d I think it came out in 2007 (with todays tech that classifies it as a dinosaur). I just like that I can get 8 frames per sec with it. I think my T2i which is 3or4 yrs old does better pics just not as fast at 3 frames per sec.
Part of the problem is I usually get out before dawn to shoot so I find myself sitting in the dark with my cameras jacked up to 1200 iso and as it gets light I cant wait to lower that , cause I have forgot to do that and killed a bunch of images with noise.
As far as getting close goes. These were shot with my 200 tele from about 40 or 50 ft. that first picture is probably covering 10 or 12 ft. wide. The deer were more interested in each other also.
