    Alaskan Bush Pilot

I sometimes like a scenes for a variety of different reasons.

For this one, it's because it contains trees, water, something big and something red. I like red because it attracts so much attention! Being a pilot, I also like pictures of aircraft.

I hope you like it as well.

As always, comments and critique is welcomed.

The light box really makes these pics shine. I tried to hang glide once it didn't work out well for me. it was that moment of stall were I just kind of hung there that I realized I had no business whatsoever of being there. lol just thought I would share that.

I had twice jumped from a perfectly good airplane and I still got criticized for it but my husband??? 'got scared to jump twice(!) I think old age is creeping up on me...Bill will never do it -- ever! I love hang gliding. It is beautiful up there. ... but it's been a long time since from San Diego to Missouri though...

LOL! For some folks I'm sure they are just toys. For this guy though, it is likely his primary source of income.

    Re: Alaskan Bush Pilot

I had an opportunity to take a flight on a DHC-2 Beaver float plane in Northern British Columbia a few years ago. Man. did I ever feel close to the environment; the trees felt so close that one could almost reach out and touch them.

As I recall, the plane was older than I was (they stopped making them in 1967, I believe about 20 years after they went into production).
