It looks like you are making excellent use of that long glass Bobo. Just a curiosity though, what was the background for this image?
Thanks Frank. I don't understand the question. This is the background. Had to do a WB correction though.
Pretty girlie! Bobo you captured her well...very nice and sharp...what was the background?
Thanks Isabel. Now I am really confused.
Background as in story or background as in "background of the pic" ?
Ho, Bobo. Whatever the background is () I really like this shot. Plenty of details here. Well done!
Thanks Otavio.
@Isabel - got it! Background is basically empty space and trees further off reflecting the morning sunlight.
Most excellent. Well exposed, awesome detail, great BG, you got it all. I love these little guys.
Ah! Makes sense now. I think the background color sets the Chickadee off very nicely so I thought it might be something you put together to get that effect!
I just had not seen that kind of color or pattern outdoors and wondered if the Chickadee was standing in front of an orange sherbet ice-cream cone or something equally bizarre.

Definitely raises the bar for Chickadee shots. Not sure what else there is left to do... terrific.
Thanks Dan, John, Mark. Not sure about raises the bar. It is not a shot that will linger in anyone's memory for long.
@ Frank. That particular location was probably set out by a photographer. It is a large feeding area in a nature reserve. On one side is a fenced off section with the stumps of some dead trees in the middle. Just the right distance separating the stumps from the surrounding trees for this kind of separation. Summers will probably be iffy as the trees will be blocking all the light but for now a decent place to get some shots. Long 1+ hours drive though.
I like it for it's unique perch and background colors. It's really a nice photo, Bobo!
Thanks Terri.
Just envious
LOL, why? These guys are nothing compared to those you have in India. Unless you do have chickadees there which I doubt.
Hahaha.... i am not sure without referring to some Indian Bird Catalog; your consolation still leaves my envy unabated
Hmmm, envious could mean many things. Okie let us leave it at that.
OK; choose one from the above
Adoration; respect; jealousy; appreciation....choose one from these lolz
