Hi, Kintatsu -
I used to, but now I typically use only a UV filter on the front of the big lenses while I'm in dangerous environments. I also carry a CPL for that time of day when I might get a lot of blowouts. I mostly shoot RAW except from my cell (which doesn't have RAW capabilities), so I do all the filter work back home. For the filtering, I use Tiffen Dfx software which contains a software effect for just about every physical filter made by them (yup, they're the same folks as make Tiffen (mostlY) round glass filters). They also have a webinars, nearly every Wednesday (noon PT) that you can sign up for on their website (tiffen.com).
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Virginia. I wasn't looking so much for how tos, just curiosity. I've tried several plug in filters and found they just don't match the real thing.
Tiffen makes some good stuff and I like their Dfx. I'm surprised how few folks try to work with old fashioned filters on their digital camera. I like the feel of it, even with a carefully made color image using the right filter.
Thanks again!
