Beautiful blue, and an excellent through-glass shot.
Can you post the EXIF? Thanks.
Wow that is A great shot Joanne.
Beautiful shot!
Lovely.........
Great picture Joanne, what a beautiful creature!
Very creative, Joanne!
The one element of making the photo that won't be displayed in EXIF data, once you provide it, is your lighting. I know that a lot of people photograph an aquarium using off-camera flash pointed at about a 45-degree angle to the subject to avoid reflection in the glass. Is that what you did?
Hi Mike, sorry for the delay in replying, my 2 kiddies have been so poorly since we arrived home from Thailand, both have been so ill that they have lost 28 lb each in 4 weeks (18 and 16 yr old who are slim to start with) and are undergoing all sorts of tests to see if they have contracted some tropical disease....worried sick but they at last seem to be getting a bit better....fingers crossed.
To answer your question....I did not use any flash...the tank was so brightly lit the jelly fish to the naked eye were glowing white. I just placed the camera lens on the tank for stability and waited for a jelly to float by and pressed. All I did as far as processing was to reduce highlights and whites and increase black and a little contrast in lightroom and the Jelly came to life. I am so terrible at the technical side of things and just wing it on most things, I hope this helps
