Can you advise me on pics please?

I hope this is the right forum, please can you give me some feedback on these images please? Two new Mr Kipling cake flavours invented, the original strawberry (obviously) and now orange.

    Many thanks.

Added photo where it said add photo, but it obviously hasn't worked. How do I add image please?

Have a read of this, Louise.

HELP THREAD: How can I post images here?

And if you still have problems uploading images, ask again for more specific advice.

There are a few 'quirks' with CinC and many of us initially had problems with uploads, but it is usually quite easy once you get the knack!

Cut and paste hasn't work for me so far, so I copy and paste in a word processor and type it manually on the body of the message, being careful to check each and every letter from the link. I only have this problem here, but it is OK...it has a been a long road for me so far, many unexplored territory.

When attempting to copy and paste, Isabel, are you using the Post Quick Reply option or Go Advanced.

I often get various problems when using Post Quick Reply with Tinypics.

And forgetting to actually select my image is another of my common tricks!

I use the Go Advanced method. Even when replying to post like this one. This should be a simple procedure but my pooter is not well trained to this site yet. I have to Go Advanced when I have to use Tinypic anyway. Nope! I select the whole link so I can copy it to my MS Word. I tried and I tried to copy the link to the message box but it will not do it so I am doing it the hard way...Honest! I had not forgotten anything from the instruction at all...I thought it must be me, but I can do stuffs like copy and paste since back in DOS...maybe while most of you are still being born or in your short pants...

    Thanks Geoff....

I think you might mean Ctrl+C to copy to the clipboard.

Isn't Ctrl J used to duplicate a layer in PhotoShop?
For Tinypics I usually put the cursor somewhere in the link--->select all--->Ctrl C--->back to the message---> Ctrl V.
Works fine when I "go advanced".
In quick reply, clicking on the upload link doesn't work.

Edit: Sorry Colin, didn't see your reply....

I might end up putting into photo bucket and doing it that way.

Re: Can you advise me on pics please?

I think the exif info is lost unless it's posted from click here to upload ...............................

Afraid I right click/copy on the link after it's uploaded. it highlights all on it's own and then paste it into the thread. This may be Opera thinking well what else would some one who has just done that want to do but I suspect it's how the server side software works.

Only problem I have is that sometimes the CHTUPFYC button below the thread doesn't work so have to click go advanced and it always works from there. Also when more than one image is added I have to preview the post to get the CHTUPFYC button to work again.

Sometimes I get an error message while trying to post images into my album or it says the photo is too big. I am not reducing the size now as I am starting to get some of my work printed and framed.

Re: Can you advise me on pics please?

Louise...What I do is that I created a separate folder for the images that I wanted CiC folks to look at for me or to share. When I save my shots, I direct my saving as to that folder. As for sizes, I do not know who advised me this -- it could have been Colin -- to resize my submission to 1000px on the longest side. This size is acceptable to tinypic without members having to roll up their mouse up or down.

Another idea is to upload your image to another site like Photobucket or Flickr. I have both account, but with all the hullaballoo of having photos stolen, I just stopped doing that and if I do, I save my image for the web at the lowest resolution. Even so I only have a one-week window wherein I can email my folks and friends about the photos I wanted to share with them. After a week, I take the image off. I have my backup here at home and overseas just in case.
