I have a Manfrotto 055 Carbon Fibre Q90 4 section tripod.
It is super solid and easy to use. Just a bit too big to be carrying all the time.
I'm thinking of a new tripod,
GITZO traveller series or
Manfrotto compact series.
Which do you prefer and why?
Recommend a model.

I think the problem for folks replying to this thread, David, is that they will have one or the other, not both, and therefore be unable to provide a comparative analysis.
Maybe better to ask if anyone has a tripod from either of these series and, if so, what is their opinion of it.
